A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Equipped with only your own wits, you must work your way through a series of increasingly difficult challenges to escape from the castle you’ve been trapped in. 

You are playing as a princess who loves to paint, her paintings reflect her emotions, memories, and dreams. As she progresses,  she learns more about her connection to the castle. Through the paintings and the princess herself, the game explores themes of creativity, self-expression, and breaking free from constraints. This effort and exploration culminate in the princess’s escape from the tower!

Controls:




HOW TO PLAY:

Goal:  Reach the highest point of the tower! Collect as many heart crystals as you can along the way!

Checkpoint: When dying or finishing a painting, the player will respawn at the last checkpoint they were at. 

HighJump: Press jump When crouched to do a super jump.

LongJump: While moving, crouch and jump at the same time to gain a burst of directional movement

    • Discussing the amount of work each team member can take on
  • Things that went wrong
    • Lack of focus of level development throughout the process
    • The rigging of the original character model 
    • Last minute sound/music creation
    • Payed too much attention to polishing and details to bring in other important things
    • No tutorial 
  • Major Changes
    • Heavily reduced the scope of the sub levels
    • Dedicated more resources to the hub level
    • Reduced scope on the sound/music
    • Ran out of time on effects

Ethan is a sophomore majoring in Media Arts and Sciences. He has a lifelong love for all things video games and game making. Ethan can’t wait to bring Team 7’s vision to life with satisfying platforming, sound effects, engaging level design, and some sweet set pieces and music to go along with it!

Analise Vincent - (Lead Programmer, Game Designer)

Analise is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science; she intends to focus on Cybersecurity and pursue the Computer Gaming Certificate. She has been a programmer in several major projects, and she is looking forward to working with her teammates to create this game!

Meredith Woodward - (Art Director, Character Designer, Animator, UI/UX): Meredith is a junior majoring in Graphic Information Technology focusing in Full-Stack Web Development and User Experience. She is also getting a certificate in Computer Gaming. She is incredibly excited to bring this game to life!

Athena Heineman - (artist, for level design, background, skybox):  

A junior that is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies, Computer Gaming, and Leadership, Athena is excited for what the game is going to be like and has a lot of ideas of how they are going to bring Team 7’s vision to life, making it have lots of depth and detail.
